January 2024 MineOS Product Updates

The past year was a hallmark of innovation and success for MineOS, marked by significant milestones. It's with great enthusiasm that we kick off 2024 with substantial updates!

DSR Deletion: More Efficient Request Handling

Click on each DSR you want to delete, then click Delete at the bottom right corner.

In our continuous effort to refine and enhance the usability of MineOS, we're introducing a highly requested feature: the ability to delete Data Subject Requests (DSR) directly from the Requests screen and to batch delete them as well. This update simplifies the management of DSRs, allowing for a cleaner, more organized interface. Users can now effortlessly remove a single request by selecting it and navigating to the ellipses menu at the top right corner. For those looking to declutter their logs, batch deletion offers a swift solution. Simply select multiple DSRs you wish to remove and hit the red Delete button at the bottom. This feature is particularly beneficial for users who have implemented email forwarding and wish to eliminate irrelevant requests from their logs, ensuring a more streamlined data management process.

Email Evidence by Data Source

Click on the users of any specific data source in your Data Inventory, then on the View Evidence button to see their past interactions.

Understanding how data is accessed and utilized within your organization is crucial for maintaining a secure and compliant data environment. To this end, MineOS introduces an innovative feature that allows users to view the email history associated with any given data source. By selecting a data source from the Data Inventory and clicking on an employee or user of that data source, a popup will display a history of all relevant emails received. This functionality not only aids in tracking how often and in what manner a data source is used but also enhances transparency and accountability within the system.

PII Debugging: Secure Insight into Data Classification

Ever wished you could track down the exact values of the data inside the data source where a policy violation is found? Now you can.

The new PII Debugging feature in the Data Classifier module marks a significant advancement in how users can interact with and understand their data. By enabling Debug Mode, users can select a data type on the data source’s Schema page and view the exact values found for that data type. This process is tightly secured; viewing these snippets requires a password, ensuring that sensitive data remains protected from unauthorized access. This feature is instrumental for users who need to delve deeper into their data for debugging or compliance purposes, offering a safe and efficient means to do so.

A Future of Continuous Innovation

As we move forward, our focus remains steadfast on innovation, security, and usability. These updates to MineOS are just the beginning of what promises to be another exciting year filled with enhancements that cater to the evolving needs of our users. Stay tuned for more awesome product updates in the months to come, as we continue to elevate the standard of data management and security!
